Underwater Water Tank Inspection: Visual + UT Workflow

Plan underwater water-tank inspection with ROV video, local cleaning and UT spot readings—plus visibility, coverage, hygiene and engineering limits.

  • Treat the result as a scoped condition survey: visual observations, localized measurements, exclusions and engineering decisions are different evidence states.
  • Start with the asset material, water service, access, coating, geometry, hazards and decision need; platform suitability follows from those inputs.
  • A UT spot is a local measurement on a qualified, prepared surface—not a continuous thickness map, corrosion rate or structural acceptance decision.
